This is a piece I just finished for a show in Cleveland called "Evil Ohio". It's acrylic on paper and measure 15"x16".
Description of Homage for the Evil Ohio show:
While businesses, condos, and tourist attractions rise up from the former industrial landscape of the flats the ghosts of the Cleveland Torso Murders still linger. The city may forget these victims, but their deaths will always be intertwined with its history. This is a dedication to the city, the rust and dirt, and the Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run.
Conceptually this is an homage to the Torso Killer, and artistically it is an homage to Beksinski. This painting is currently for sale at my website, www.frankwalls.net.
Heheh, Where to start? This is my first critique...
Well, First of i would like to say i love the way you captured the lighting and the shading, It makes it look so realistic, Almost scary, I must admit, It gives you alot of different feelings, All at one time, Feeling that is un-explainable, Never in my life have i seen art so amazing, Original, and Extremely capturing, This has left me one-hundred percent breathless and speechless, I never though i'd see any art like this, I can't even begin to imagine how long this took, In my opinion, You are an true artist, You have amazing talent, Skill, and Sense of originality, Thank you for reading this, But then again, Thank you for making such wonderful art, This is simply amazing, And it seemed to have made me alot happier, i just don't know why...
Where to begin? This piece is rich in it depressing loveliness.
I love the melancholy, oppressive expression in everything that is in this piece, it permeates it.
The piece is fairly well balanced, the eye is immediately drawn to the bottom 1/2 of the surface to the focal point of the pink form... The tubing pulls the eyes along to the sides and up, while the two taller buildings draw the eyes to the center and up to the top of the painting, then the dirty clouds finish the tour by pulling the eye left and right at the top. There are two things which [In my opinion] would balance it a bit better. The first would be to brighten the sun light behind the two tall buildings, and throw some pink in it to complement the pink figure and pull some of the weight up. The second is to have done something to offset the skull face on the right, by doing something complementary to the left. However, neither of these things detract from the painting so much as to call it unbalanced... I love it.
The piece is obviously set firm in the surreal genre, expertly done.
I love the piece, and it is a tribute to skill and vision.
It is up to you to find a partner to collaborate with, I cannot tell you who to chose

Remember this is an advanced skill level group.
The basics: One person draws on one side of the page, covers it save a 3 cm strip then sends it through the general post to their partner. Their partner finishes the drawing based just on that 3 cm strip and then scans it and posts it online.
There have been different formats: Diagonal, 4 panels, Round, Square with round in the center,
Digital: sending their strip via email to finish (Please! no previews of the strip to anyone) digital and traditional collage still relying on the strip.
This group was founded 7 years ago and has gone through some interesting changes, Joy, psychic experiences and many other incredible events.
Have fun and be adventurous in your choice of a collaborator.
